LORETTE COLE DUPRAT
An original idea, an exciting brand universe, a no-holds-barred IG account, and voilà, the Lorette Colé Duprat machine was well and truly launched. It all began with a surprising idea: weaving metal beads together to create jewellery. Metal chokers, to be specific, which were quickly spotted by eagle-eyed stylists and fashion photographers, then reinterpreted as audacious and irreverent body jewellery. Lorette also works with resin, a more flexible and sensual material, which she affixes to her famous choker necklaces. The Trinity chokers have taken things even further with the use of transparent effects, helping the designer to truly stand out from the crowd. Spotted in fashion’s biggest magazines, her unique technique even earned her a collaboration with the very prestigious Vogue Portugal and an invitation to co-design jewellery for the famous Mugler fashion shows.
Lorette Colé Duprat makes earrings, too, that are as intriguing and sensual as her necklaces, like the E1 single hoop. Made up of a silver-plated brass base and a sculptural resin component in a faded colour effect, the root of this transparent organic shape gradually takes on a pink or blue hue. The E1 can be worn in one or both ears, facing forwards or backwards, and also as a navel piercing. Then there’s the E3 hoop, inspired by its predecessor but much larger and sold in pairs. Its silhouette is more like a classic large hoop, making it easier to wear and style than the E1, as well as being customisable. That’s right, Lorette Colé Duprat earrings are modular and can be mixed and matched with each other. Monnier Paris also sells the R1, R2 and R3 rings. Their organic shapes follow the shape of the finger and sensually reveal the skin. Though chunky, the rings made in the designer's Parisian workshops are actually relatively light and are carefully crafted to ensure a comfortable feel.
Lorette Colé Duprat jewels have already won over many of this generation's coolest and most creative minds, including Doja Cat, FKA Twigs, Rosalía, Shygirl, and more. So are you ready to join the crew?
