Rainbow K
There is a long-held image of fine jewellery as elitist and unaffordable, but Rainbow K is one of those exciting new brands that is breaking barriers and changing mentalities. Founded by designer duo Kelly Souied and Kelia Toledano, Rainbow K is made by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Souied is enamoured with – and qualified in – gemmology, with a love of precious stones that dates back to her early youth, when she began to admire fine jewellery. Toledano, meanwhile, adopts a more stylistic - but no less specialist – approach. As a fan of antique jewellery, she likes to collect and layer her pieces, for dramatic and surprising results. Together, they launched a label in their image, Rainbow K. Colourful and feminine, Rainbow K’s designs combine an Art Deco style with contemporary influences, transforming the wearer into a modern-day empress. The jewels, though elegant, are quite chunky and imposing. Unlike classic fine jewellery, which tends to confine women to delicate, dainty looks, Rainbow K brings power and guts. The Esteve and Shield rings are the perfect example of this. They are also representative of the Rainbow K process and approach, which mixes precious and semi-precious stones. Set with diamonds, the Esteve ring is available with amethyst, malachite or tiger's eye, while the Shield is offered with emeralds, sapphires or rubies.
Meticulously crafted in a Parisian workshop, Rainbow K creations owe much of their success to the discerning eye(s) of Kelly Souied and Kelia Toledano; a vision that has won over a host of content creators, such as Vanessa Hong, Caroline Daur, Estelle Chemouni and Gilda Ambrosio. Each time one of them shares a photo or post about a Rainbow K design, the brand gains visibility and even more followers. The Grace mono-earrings and opulent Empress rings have also established themselves as exciting new must-haves. After all, diamonds are a girl's best friend, aren't they?
